I began riding in the early '70s when my then husband was racing Enduro. I had a 125cc Suzuki dirt bike and only did trail riding in the woods.

In the late '90s I got the bug again with my daughter grown and out of college. Saved the pennies, took the MSF training course, bought a 1999 Sportster and I was off. Street riding was a challenge but I loved every mile. I quickly learned that the Sportster wasn't the bike for me and began looking for my dream bike - a 1997 HD Heritage Springer. I sold the Sportster on Ebay (got nearly what I payed for it) and found my Springer on Ebay too. It was in Kansas City, so I rented a trailer (being a cold March) and brought 'Toto' home (he's not in Kansas any more!).
