I first took the MSF course back in the early '80's and got my cycle endorsement.  My first bike was a new Honda CX500 Custom.  I kept it a couple years, but didn't ride much as I didn't know anybody else who rode.  I did keep my cycle endorsement on my driver's license all these years "just in case".  In the Spring of '05, I repeated the MSF class at Washtenaw Community just to refresh my skills.  I got the bug again and started thinking about getting another bike.  I bought my current bike, a 2007 BMW F650 GS late Summer of '06.  I have a friend who's had BMW bikes and swears by them, and it had the features I wanted...heated grips, ABS, so I DID IT!  I haven't ridden much, again because I didn't know many people who ride, but I've been riding it back and forth to work.  So it's great that I was pointed in the direction of this group and I hope to increase my riding frequency and skills.  I look forward to the approaching riding season!
